Young Malayalam actor Shane Nigam has allegedly received dire threats from Joby George, who is producing Shane’s film Veyil, because he cut his hair and failed to maintain continuity on the film
Shane completed a 16-day schedule on the film helmed by debutant Sarath Menon, with one look and was set to continue work on the film in a month. In the meantime, he started work on Qurbaani for which he got a haircut. This apparently did not sit well with veteran producer Joby George, who allegedly sent threatening messages to Shane.
In audio clips that are circulating in social media Joby George can be heard saying heatedly, “I need a decision on the issue of my film.... My money, my credibility; I will not compromise on these.” He continues that he will not let Shane sleep peacefully. “You will not defraud me and live in Kerala,” he continues
In another clip, which is allegedly a conversation between Joby George and Mahasubair, the producer of Qurbaani, the latter tries to explains to Joby that Shane has not had a haircut, but just gelled his hair down. Joby retorts, “I promise that you will lose the money on your film. You will end up a beggar.”
Shane filed a complaint against the producer to the star organisation AMMA and told in his instagram live that he will move legally against the producer
