The casting call messages were spreading from a Dubai based WhatsApp number 00971568300354 and the person introducing himself as "James" and faking that he is the production controller of the director's upcoming movie "CHANAKYA THANTHRAM 2 (à´šാണക്à´¯ തന്à´¤്à´°ം 2)
The person first send messages to the candidates stating that there is chance for the upcoming movie and following this makes calls to them asking for photographs and inviting them to his flat. So far about 6 candidates got cheated by this fake call
According to the press conference by the director there is no current project named "CHANAKYA THANTHRAM 2 (à´šാണക്à´¯ തന്à´¤്à´°ം 2) in his plan and he is moving legally to catch the person behind this. The director already filed complaint to Ernakulam city Police Commissioner and will seek help from Dubai Police to trace the source.
