9 THEATRE HIT MOVIES OF MALAYALAM IN 2019

Kerala Producers Association recently published the statistics of Malayalam movies in 2019.  Total 192 movies released in 2019 in which only 23 movies had decent returs compared to the expense. The recently released movies like Mamangam and some others stats are yet to be updated

Total budget for all the movies in 2019 was about 800 crore in which  12 movies had budget more than 10 crore. In 2018 total movies released was about 152

The first and last superhit of 2019 was credited to actor Asif ali for his movies Vijay Superum Pournamiyum and Kettyolanu Ente Malakha. And a notable thing is that the film Madhuraraja which was said as the first 100 crore movie of Mammootty is not in hit movies list

Out of 23 profited movies 7 movies was theatre hits and rest gained profit through satellite and digital rights
