There were wide release issues regarding the film in Kerala because of unavailability of Theatres in view of new rules. No distributors were ready to obtain the rights by spending huge amount because of this issues

But recent reports says that producer Listin Stephen of Magic Frames will chart 'Bigil' release in Kerala theatres for a Karnataka based company

'Bigil' will hit the theatres on 27th October 2019
